A place for your group, with doors your group controls

For people 18 and older only

• Mead is for people 18 and older only. You enter your date of birth when you sign up, and Mead keeps only the confirmation.
• Anyone who says they're under 18 can't get in, and the account is suspended.
• An account that seems to belong to someone under 18 can be reported from that person's card. The Mead team reviews it and can suspend the account.

What Mead won't do

• It doesn't show ads in the middle of the conversation.
• It doesn't sell your data.
• It doesn't record voice, video or screens.
• It doesn't demand daily streaks or punish anyone for missing a day.
• It doesn't sell levels, wins or loot boxes.

Who gets into your Tavern

• Invites last seven days and can be revoked at any time.
• Joining can require approval from the leader or a role with that permission.
• The Tavern can close its doors to new members.
• Rooms can have a password or be visible only to one role.
• The Meadland map only shows Taverns: nobody joins through it, only with an invite.

When something goes wrong

• You can block someone: they can no longer send you requests or messages.
• You can report someone from their card. The Mead team reviews the report and lets you know when it's done, without sharing what was decided about the other person.
• In a call, anyone with permission can mute or disconnect someone.
• In the Tavern, the leader can remove and ban members.
• Without an account, or to report something you saw outside the app, use the public channel at mead.gg/en/report. Child sexual abuse is taken down at once and reported to the authorities.

Open circles at the Great Bonfire

Open circles have been paused since October 22, 2026, and none can be lit. When they return, these rules apply: they are voice-only (no camera, screen, chat or sounds) and hold up to ten people. To join, you confirm you're 18 or older, and your account must be at least three days old. Whoever lights the circle can remove a visitor, and three reports from different people within 24 hours suspend the account.
